Mercedes-Benz, Roger Federer's Neon Legacy initiative, and street art duo Low Bros have revealed their latest initiative: The refurbishment of a public tennis court in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, London.
The money for the renovation project was raised be Mercedes-Benz, which auctioned off a unique neon yellow Mercedes‑Benz AMG GT63 S E Performance, and the court was refurbished to mark Roger Federer's retirement from sport in September 2022.
The street court in Bostall Gardens not only received a complete refurbishment, but also got a special retro-futuristic design, painted in cooperation with the local community. Mercedes states that the redesign not only is intended to draw the next generation of tennis players, but also to place the courts as the centrepiece piece of the community facility, which also includes a calisthenics training area, a basketball court and a children's playground.
