Mercedes-Benz Group AG announces changes in top management

The Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group AG has approved several new appointments to the top management of Mercedes-Benz, strategically realigning the leadership team in key areas and strengthening the consistent implementation of the company's strategy.
As previously reported and effective from 1 February 2026 onwards; Bastian Baudy - currently Head of Design AMG - will succeed Gorden Wagener as Head of Design. The latter will leave Mercedes-Benz on 31 January 2026 at his own request.
Yanni von Roy-Jiang will assume responsibility for Purchasing & Supplier Quality on 1 January 2026, succeeding Gunnar Guthenke, while Stefanie Choritz, currently Head of Finance & Controlling for Top-End Vehicles & Mercedes-AMG GmbH, will take over Yanni von Roy-Jiang's position as Head of Operations Supply Chain on 1 April 2026.
Torsten Eder, Head of Electrified Drive Systems, will leave the company on 1 May 2026, at his own request. He will be succeeded by Jorg Bartels, currently President & CEO of Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd. Bartels' position will then be filled by Jens Buhler, currently Head of Production Kecskemet and Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary.
Rosa Maria Conde Diez, currently Head of Group Research, Sustainability & R&D Functions, will take over the Body & Safety division on 1 January 2026. She succeeds Thomas Hellmuth, who is leaving the company at the end of December 2025 at his own request. Ida Wolf, currently Head of Chief of Staff & Corporate Office, will succeed Rosa Maria Conde Diez on 1 February 2026.
Mercedes-Benz Group AG has also said that as a result of the upcoming personnel changes, some department names will change.
