Mercedes-Benz ML450 Hybrid offered on lease in the US

The new ML450 Hybrid will be launched in the US on 16 November, but Mercedes-Benz will offer the SUV on a lease only package, with interested owners having the option of leasing the car for either 36 months or 60 months.

The ML450 Hybrid has a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 275bhp and is mated with a pair of magneto-electric motors integrated within the modified automatic transmission, which produces 80bhp and 83bhp.

When both electric motors and the petrol engine is combined, the ML450 Hybrid has a total power output of 335bhp and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, and reach a top speed of 210km/h. Mercedes-Benz says that the ML450 Hybrid has a 46 percent better fuel economy than an equivalent V8-powered ML550.
