Mercedes-Benz is aiming to increase awareness about its electric models through its pop-up store in Raffles City. It is located near the entrance to City Hall MRT station.
Titled 'Crafted for the Future: The Mercedes-Benz Showcase', the pop-up store lets visitors explore the brand's full range of electric models, which consist of the EQA and EQB SUVs, EQE saloon, EQS and EQS53 AMG.
Visitors can discover the cars' features while also learning more about electric vehicles and charging. Several selected EQ models are also available for interested participants to test drive.
With sustainability and sustainable mobility in mind, the Showcase has a small collection of upcycled furniture that uses old car parts. Crafted by TANCHEN studio, the pieces are part of the Reincarnation collection previously shown at Green-House 2023.
Another art piece, titled 'Reclaimed Sculpture: Land, Sea, Air', is also on display. The three pillars, symbolising Mercedes' three-pointed star, was created by Zen Teh using materials from the Mercedes-Benz Concept Store in Great World, which closed in March this year.
The Showcase is also offering craft workshops during the weekend of 26-27 August. Visitors can create their own key tag from repurposed denim offcuts, or scent pouches from Japanese denim offcuts. Interested participants can register at this link.
To entice electric car owners to visit the Showcase, Mercedes-Benz has collaborated with SP Mobility to offer 30kWh of complimentary charging credits to the first 50 EV owners who visit the pop-up store daily.
The Mercedes-Benz Showcase is on from 24-30 August 2023. From 1-3 September, visitors can also get up close to the EQS SUV, the carmaker's flagship electric SUV, at the venue.
Claudius Steinhoff, President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Singapore, said, "We have always embodied a pioneering spirit at Mercedes-Benz and are passionate about the all-electric future that we can create. And now, we are excited to showcase our full range of electric vehicles that have been designed with luxury, sustainability, technology, and of course, our consumers in mind."
He continued, "Through this pop-up, we hope to educate, empower, and encourage consumers on the possibilities of sustainable mobility. We believe that this is just the beginning, and consumers can look forward to more exciting products in the pipeline, as well as partnerships with industry players that we trust will elevate their brand experience."
