MINI has revealed the first camouflaged images of the new, all-electric MINI Countryman.
As previously announced, this new MINI Countryman will be produced at the BMW Group's Leipzig Plant, alongside the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, and BMW 2 Series Active Tourer. This will make this new Countryman the first MINI model produced entirely in Germany, and will make BMW Plant Leipzig the first plant at which both BMW and MINI models are manufactured.
Not much has been revealed as yet about this all-electric MINI Countryman, although we don't expect it to deliver figures too different from the BMW iX1, revealed in June of 2022. And you can expect it to adopt some of the styling cues that were present in the MINI Aceman concept car, revealed in July 2022.
BMW states that the high-voltage batteries for the new all-electric MINI Countryman will come from the firm's own production facilities. The plant is currently expanding its capacity for production of e-components and expects more than 1,000 employees to be employed in the production of these new components.
