Jaguar Land Rover has announced that it will open a new Engine Manufacturing Centre on the 30th of October. The launch of the engine production facility represents a significant milestone for U.K.'s largest premium automotive manufacturer.
The opening of the £500 million (S$1.03 billion) Engine Manufacturing Centre is a seminal moment for Jaguar Land Rover as it embarks on manufacturing in-house engines for the first time in a generation.
In addition, Jaguar Land Rover is delighted to confirm that Her Majesty the Queen will officially open the company's new state-of-the-art facility together with the His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.
The new facility is home to the 'Ingenium' engine family which will power a new generation of Jaguar Land Rover products designed, engineered and manufactured in the U.K. - starting with the 2.0-litre diesel in the Jaguar XE.
