New MRT station to be constructed between Yishun and Sembawang

A new MRT station, Canberra station, will be constructed between Yishun and Sembawang stations. The new station will serve commuters living at the Sembawang Springs and Montreal estates.
Works on the new station will start in mid 2015, and is expected to be completed by 2019.
Following the Dover station, the Canberra station is the second MRT station to be built on an existing rail line.
