New Skoda student car to take L&K 130 name

Skoda has announced that it will unveil its latest student car come 20 June 2025.

The work of a total of 28 students from the Skoda Auto Secondary Vocational School of Engineering, this new student car has already been christened the L&K 130 - a move said to reflect the firm's 130-year heritage alongside the car's striking colour scheme.

No information on just what form this student car will take is available as yet, although you will note that Skoda has traditionally reserved the Laurin & Klement name for its highest trim vehicles.

Skoda has revealed, nonetheless, that the new student car will sport a red, gold and black exterior finish, in tribute to the original Laurin & Klement logo used on the company's earliest cars in 1905. The student car is also said to be set to get its seats, dashboard, door panels and steering wheel upholstered in sustainable materials inspired by Skoda's heritage while reflecting this historical theme.
