Nissan reveals the new 370Z Roadster

The new 370Z Roadster is a strict two-seater based on the 370Z coupe, and like the coupe, it features a shorter wheelbase and an increased track over the outgoing 350Z Roadster for extra nimbleness, while keeping the weight down in the process.

The 370Z Roadster uses the same VQ37VHR 3.7 litre V6 engine seen in the coupe, which produces 330bhp and provides high levels of acceleration and good handling, while giving the Roadster a quiet and comfortable ride even with the top down. The Roadster comes with either a 7-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, or a 6-speed manual transmission with Nissan's synchronized rev control that regulates the engine speed to match the driver's shifting action when changing gears.

The Roadster's fully-lined canvas roof is stowed beneath a metal lid when folded down, and has an improved texture and appearance by using fabric materials, and is available in two colours, black or Bordeaux. Other special Roadster only features include 18-inch cast aluminium wheels in chrome colour coating, and a choice of 8 body colours, including a new Premium Deep Maroon shade.
