Tan Chong Motor has launched the new Nissan X-Trail e-POWER here in Singapore.
The new SUV adds to the growing lineup of e-POWER vehicles available here that already include the Serena, Kicks, and Note.
In the X-Trail, however, the e-POWER drivetrain now generates a total system output of 201bhp and 330Nm of torque via electric motors. The Nissan X-Trail e-POWER will not require you to plug the car in to charge up its batteries, however, as a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine under the bonnet will act as a generator to keep the battery in the X-Trail charged.
This power is then distributed between the front and rear axle via an e-4orce all-wheel drive system that promises minimal wheel slippage and enables smooth starting and driving, even in slippery conditions for greater driver confidence when behind the wheel of the X-Trail.
In the cabin, the Nissan X-Trail will seat seven. The driver will be able to get all the necessary driving information via the firm's 12.3-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display, complete with two display modes, alongside a 10.8-inch head-up display. Nissan's 12.3-inch NissanConnect navigation system, meanwhile, does duty in the centre of the dash of the X-Trail.
Passengers, meanwhile, will be able to enjoy the Bose Premium Sound System, complete with Active Noise Cancellation technology. The X-Trail comes with black premium leather upholstery as standard, although customers will be offered the option to upgrade to amber coloured Nappa leather if they wish.
The Nissan X-Trail also comes with safety systems including an intelligent Forward Collision Warning as well as Lane Departure Warning, Blind-Spot Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Tan Chong Motor is offering an early bird special at launch of the X-Trail that includes a complimentary ceramic coating, 12 months of road tax, $1,000 worth of petrol vouchers, a special trade-in booster of up to $33,000, as well as up to 50,000km of free servicing.
