12 Dec 2023|492 views
Opel has revealed that it will roll out a new 48V mild hybrid drivetrain for the Corsa.
The drivetrain merges a 1.2-litre engine with a 28bhp electric motor and a 0.4kWh lithium-ion battery and will be offered with two different power outputs. The first generates a total of 99bhp and 205Nm of torque, while the second offers up a total of 134bhp alongside 230Nm of torque.
Opel states that the new drivetrain will be able to push the Opel Corsa for a total of one kilometer under electric power alone, up to a maximum speed of 30km/h.
The new drivetrain also makes use of a new six-speed dual-clutch transmission designed especially for hybrid applications that promises gear shifts without torque interruption for raised comfort levels.
