The biggest change to the Antara is the addition of three new engines, two of them diesels as well as a new ECOTEC petrol unit. The first entry-level diesel powerplant is a 2.2-litre CDTI that produces 163bhp, and is available with front or all-wheel drive and manual or automatic transmission. The front-wheel-drive manual variant is able to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 9.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 189km/h.
The next diesel engine is also a 2.2-litre CDTI, this time producing 184bhp, and comes with all-wheel-drive only, and both manual and automatic transmission choices. This top-of-the-range model is able to go from 0-100km/h in 9.6 seconds, and reach a top speed of 200km/h.
Finally, the 2.4-litre petrol engine is an ECOTEC unit, which produces 167bhp, and is available either in front-wheel-drive manual guise, or four-wheel-drive with the choice of manual or automatic gearboxes. The petrol Antara goes from 0-100km/h in 10.5 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 190km/h.
