Peugeot and Citroen to sell rebadged Mitsubishi ASX

Little detail have been revealed about the deal, but the Peugeot and Citroen versions of the ASX/RVR is expected to be launched in 2012, and feature unique styling as well as optional all-wheel-drive. The PSA Peugeot-Citroen group expects to sell around 50,000 units of the rebadged ASX/RVR.

The Peugeot and Citroen versions will get a 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine that produces 110bhp and 240Nm of torque. In front-wheel-drive guise the compact SUV is expected to return a fuel consumption figure of around 4.7 litres per 100km.

Peugeot and Citroen has previously collaborated with Mitsubishi on several projects, such as the Peugeot 4007 and Citroen C-Crosser which are based on the Mitsubishi Outlander, as well as the Peugeot iOn and Citroen C-Zero, which are rebadged versions of Mitsubishi's i-MiEV electric city car.
