Production of Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen begins

Peugeot has announced that its first production hydrogen vehicle, the e-Expert Hydrogen, has left the production line.
If all this sounds like deja vu to you, worry not. This is indeed the third hydrogen van following from the Opel Vivaro-e Hydrogen and Citroen e-Jumpy Hydrogen to leave the production line this week, only this time, the Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen is set to do fleet duty with a subsidiary of tyre and mobility firm Michelin.
As with the other two vans, the Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen van integrates its hydrogen fuel cell electric powertrain in the engine compartment and underbody, resulting in no compromise in terms of load volume compared to the diesel variants of the Expert. This also results in a low centre of gravity which improves vehicle stability and safety.
The new Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen features a hydrogen fuel cell system combined with a 10.5kWh battery that helps power the electric motor. A full refuel of compressed hydrogen takes just three minutes, resulting in 400km of electric range, and a maximum speed of 128km/h.
With a maximum payload of up to 1,000kg and a towing capacity of 1,000kg, the e-Expert Hydrogen is a practical, zero emissions solution for a variety of businesses and fleets.
