The Samsung SM7 was showcased as a concept model at the Seoul Motor Show back in April, and Renault Samsung has now released official pictures of the production version. The car remains mostly unchanged from the concept, with the exception of minor design details like the lower parts of the front and rear bumpers, and the less extravagant alloy wheels.The SM7 rides on the same platform that underpins the Japanese market Nissan Maxima/Teana, and the car will go on sale across South Korea by the middle of this year. Renault is said to be considering exporting the car to Europe, where it will be positioned above the Latitude sedan, but no plans are confirmed as yet.
Engine options for the Samsung SM7 are expected to include a 2.5-litre V6 that produces 182bhp and 232Nm of torque, as well as a 3.5-litre V6 that develops 251bhp and 335Nm of torque.
