Seat has announced that it has achieved a sales growth of 7.5% in 2024 despite the challenging environment affecting the global automotive industry, with the continued success of the Seat and Cupra brands allowing the company to deliver a total of 558,100 units (up from 519,200 in 2023).
Cupra delivered 248,100 cars in 2024, an increase of 7.5% as compared to 2023 (230,700). Interestingly, Seat also recorded a 7.5% increase in deliveries, reaching 310,000 vehicles (up from 288,400). Seat has also said that in a declining EV market, it has managed to achieve a growth in sales with 49,400 plug-in hybrids (up by 14%) and 48,000 EVs (5.9%) sold.
In addition, in 2024, Cupra has surpassed 800,000 vehicle deliveries since its launch in 2018, introducing an impressive lineup of seven distinct models to the market. The Cupra Formentor maintained its position as the brand's bestseller with 111,300 deliveries worldwide, while the Cupra Born was its second most popular model, delivering 41,800 units.
Seat has said that it foresees a crucial and challenging year in 2025 - its 75th anniversary - and will continue working on its transformation towards electrification at full pace. Meanwhile, Cupra will continue its globalisation with the opening of new City Garages in Vienna and Manchester, and through new key collaborations to take the brand beyond the automotive.
