Singapore Land Group (SingLand) and SP Group has announced that they will be ramping up electric vehicle charging facilities by 25% at SingLand properties.
Both firms plan to roll out eight new charging points, four of which have already been launched at Singapore Land Tower. Both firms will install another four charging points at SingLand's shopping mall West Mall by the end of 2024, and an increase in the number of charging points at Marina Square is also planned. The new charging points at West Mall will comprise two alternating current charging points and two direct current fast-charging points. Once completed, this will increase the total number of charging points in SingLand's properties to 38.
The new move comes as part of SingLand's long-term commitment to encourage low-carbon modes of transport at its properties. SingLand and SP will further collaborate to offer several value-added services aimed at attracting more electric vehicle drivers to charge at its properties. This includes seasonal promotions in the form of rebates where drivers who charge a minimum amount will receive a charging voucher on the SP app to offset future charging sessions, as well as specially tailored subscription packages for SingLand properties' season parking holders across SP's electric vehicle charging network across Singapore.
