Skoda Octavia now also manufactured in Kvasiny

The first examples of the updated Skoda Octavia are now also being produced at the firm's Kvasiny plant, just months after production of the model first stated in Mlada Boleslav.
Production of the new Skoda Octavia is thus now being carried out alongside the Kaorq and Kodiaq at the Kvasiny plant, a move made possible thanks to the move of manufacturing of the all-new Superb to the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava. Skoda states that it has opened a new training centre at its Kvasiny site, which comes equipped with state-of-the-art technology, three robotic workstations for practical training, and two classrooms for advanced theoretical instruction, all in preparation for the start of production of the Octavia.
Based on the Volkswagen Group's MQB platform, the updated Octavia is being offered internationally with petrol engines that can be paired with mild-hybrid technology or all-wheel drive, alongside technology features including matrix-LED head lights, enhanced safety and comfort features, and new functions including the integration of ChatGPT into the firm's voice assistant system.
Around 7.5 million units have been produced since the first modern-generation Octavia was introduced in 1996.
