The all new MG Cyberster electric sports car will be displayed during this year's Salon Prive at the London Royal Hospital Chelsea, providing the public with a closer look at the soon-to-be-released car.
A successor to the well-known MGB Roadster from the 1960s, the two-door, two-seater convertible, fitted with an all-electric powertrain drives MG into its second century with head-turning style. The MG Cyberster draws inspiration from the company's motorsport heritage with its key features being a low nose and distinctive rear haunches alongside more modern elements such as a Kammback tail and scissor doors.
On top of celebrating MG's 100th anniversary, the MG Cyberster marks another milestone for the brand by being the fastest-accelerating, most powerful production cat to boast the MG badge.
The single motor version of the car produces a total of 335bhp, allowing the sports car to go from zero to 100km/h in 5.2 seconds. While the top range variant, the dual motor all-wheel drive MG Cyberster delivers 536bhp, pushing the car from zero to 100km/h in 3.2 seconds.
The MG Cyberster also comes with a wide colour palette. Customers are able to choose from four colours: Dynamic Red, Camden Grey, Cosmic Solver and New English White, which interestingly is a modern interpretation of Old English White. Customers can also opt for an additional premium option, Inca Yellow.
MG says that Salon Prive provides the brand with an opportunity to exhibit their halo model. The event is additioanlly set to feature vehicles from various manufacturers and will host themed days such as Magnificent McLarens, a world record parade of the Aston Martin Valkyrie and will be playing host to the AMV Owners Club and a Supercar Saturday event.
