Kia has revealed the first images of the new EV4, showcasing the exterior of the new all-electric vehicle.
The firm states that the vehicle has been developed to target a broad demographic, combining modern design with a host of advanced technologies that it states will resonate with lifestyle-focused buyers. The car will further be offered as both a saloon or a hatchback, allowing it to better fit different lifestyles and needs.
Both body types continue the design language of models such as the EV6 and EV9, but sport more dynamic profiles. The Kia EV4 hatchback will get design features including robust fenders as well as sizeable 19-inch wheels, all intended to give the car a contemporary, solid look. The use of geometric patterns on the car's lower sections are said to emphasise its innovative nature. The rear of the Kia EV4 hatchback gets wide taillights alongside a sloping rear window that comes garnished with a bold upright trim piece on its C-pillar trim for a clean and robust look.
The Kia EV4 hatchback differs from the saloon by the use of a more pronounced upright trim piece on its C-pillar as well as a different taillight design
The Kia EV4 saloon, meanwhile, retains Kia's innovative EV Tiger Face, vertically oriented headlamps, and the brand's iconic Star Map lighting signature design elements, all combined with a low bonnet to accentuate the vehicle's wide, sporty stance. At the rear, however, it adopts a long-tail design emphasised by a sleek two-piece roof spoiler, giving the car a streamlined silhouette. The saloon also gets its own 19-inch wheel design.
The firm states that it additionally will offer a 'GT-Line' variant of the Kia EV4, which will get wing-shaped front and rear bumpers, alongside 19-inch wheels that feature a triangular-motif to enhance its sporty and futuristic look.
