A significantly refreshed 2025 Kia EV6 was unveiled today at the 2024 LA Auto Show, which runs from 22 November 2024 to 1 December 2024.
It features updated front and rear designs, enhanced premium interior touches, and newly packaged trim levels with added features and amenities.
Subtle yet impactful updates include Kia's Star Map lighting, which shapes the new headlights and DRLs, a sharper angled front bumper, and character lines on the hood extending to the air intake. Its rear sports three-dimensional taillights and a wing-type shaped rear bumper. New wheel designs are also available in 19-inch to 21-inch sizes depending on the trim level.
In its interior, the driver-centric layout features a standard curved dual 12.3-inch display, Star Map lighting, a D-shaped steering wheel, and an updated centre console, giving it a high-tech, sporty aesthetic.
The 2025 EV6 also introduces larger battery options, with the base model's 63kWh battery paired with a rear motor producing 169bhp and 350Nm of torque. All other rear-wheel drive EV6 variants will come with an 84kWh battery, with a targeted all-electric range of 513km, and a rear motor providing 228bhp and 350Nm of torque.
An all-wheel drive option is also available, combining dual motors to deliver 324bhp and 605Nm of torque, while the EV6 GT provides 601bhp and 739Nm of torque. With standard GT mode activated, the GT surges to 641bhp and 770Nm of torque.
Fast charging remains a standout feature, with the EV6 sporting an 800V DC charging system with the North American Charging Standard (NACS) charging port as standard. The 2025 EV6's frame was also reinforced to meet more stringent IIHS safety standards.
It will also come with Kia's next-generation Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC) operating system with over-the-air (OTA) updates keeping the car updated with the latest software. Other new additions include a Digital Key 2.0 allowing customers to use compatible smart devices or an NFC-enabled smart card as virtual vehicle keys to lock, unlock, and drive.
The 2025 EV6 will be assembled at Kia Georgia's assembly plant and is expected to go on sale in the first half of 2025.
