The launch of the all new Honda Jade RS

Kah Motor launched the all new Honda Jade RS on Friday, the 3^rd of June, at a launch event held at Gillman Barracks. 

The all new six-seater Jade RS Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) is equipped with a newly-developed 1.5-litre direct injection VTEC Turbo engine combined with Earth Dreams Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), the first Honda model to have this powertrain configuration. The engine delivers 150bhp and 203Nm of torque, with maximum torque available between 1,600rpm and 5,000rpm.

The MPV's sporty, fun and adventurous character is also highlighted by the equipped paddle shifters, which allow the driver to manually work through its seven-speed mode and take advantage of the engine's torque. The digital dashboard and speedometer further enhance the thrilling driving sensation. 

Styled for the modern family, the Jade RS features Honda's 'Solid Wing Face' design identity that connects the grille and LED head lights. The LED rear combination lamps express unity with the rear windows through a flowing design. Sitting at just 1,530mm tall and with a raked-back front windscreen, the Jade RS is designed to evoke a coupe-like silhouette. 

The 2+2+2 interior combines style, quality and innovative flexibility. The Jade RS is equipped with eight-way adjustable powered driver's seat and four-way powered front passenger seat, providing optimal ergonomic comfort. The car also features an innovative design feature called 'V-slide captain seats' for the second row. It is a new system that allows the seats to slide diagonally back and forth, whilst avoiding the rear wheelhouse, creating extra legroom for the second row passengers. In the third row, 50:50 split folding seats allow for the creation of more cargo space when necessary. 

The new Honda Jade RS also comes equipped with advanced safety features. This includes Agile Handling Assist, an electronic control system that uses brake vectoring to improve corner traceability, offering more assured handling feel. The car also has the Advanced Compatibility Engineering body that applies Honda's original G-Force Control Technology to enhance self-protection and reduces the impact to other drivers in the event of a collision. Other active safety features include Electric Brake Distribution, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Stop Signal, Vehicle Stability Assist and Anti-lock Braking System.
