Toyota Gazoo Racing launches facelifted GR Corolla for Japan

Toyota Gazoo Racing has started accepting orders for its facelifted GR Corolla through Toyota dealerships across Japan from 4 February 2025, with its actual launch scheduled for 3 March 2025.

This is effectively the same model announced in August 2024 in the U.S.A, but specified for the Japanese market. It sports a new feature, "Circuit Mode", that brings out a car's potential, such as the implementation of anti-lag control and raising the upper speed limit of the speed limiter, at service-eligible circuits and facilities in Japan.

In addition, GPS location determination and operation via a special app helps switches the vehicle's instrument panel to a dedicated gauge display that shows shift timing and engine rpms, enabling the use of Circuit Mode.

Owners of existing GR Corollas can also experience some of this evolution; parts for the facelifted GR Corolla can also be purchased and installed on their cars.

TGR will exhibit the facelifted GR Corolla RZ (Japanese market specifications) at the 2025 Osaka Auto Messe, which will be held from 7 February 2025 to 9 February 2025 at INTEX Osaka, Japan.
