Toyota get new flexible engine manufacturing line in the U.S.A

Toyota has opened a new flexible engine line, capable of producing three different engine types at its Kentucky plant.
The line is said to make the Kentucky site the only Toyota location in North America with the capability, and comes as part of a $195 million (USD$145 million) investment. The Toyota Kentucky site currently supplies engine to six of Toyota's seven vehicle plants in North America, and will become the firm's become the sole manufacturer of dual-stacked hydrogen fuel cell modules for use in commercial heavy-duty trucks.
This new line will be utilised to supply 2.4-litre turbocharged engines as well as 2.5-litre engines from Toyota and Lexus' hybrid products (read more about the our local Lexus RX, which utilises such an engine, here).
Toyota plans to introduce a total of 23 new, refreshed or special edition vehicles in the U.S.A (you can read more about the recently unveiled Tacoma pickup here) in 2023, and plans to launch battery electric vehicle production in North America.
