Toyota has previewed a new Urban SUV Concept at its annual Kenshiki forum in Brussels. The concept car is said to be a preview of a new battery electric vehicle which Toyota plans to launch in 2024.
The new vehicle is set to be Toyota's most compact and accessible in its planned six-model dedicated battery-electric vehicle lineup that already includes the production version of this Sport Crossover Concept, and is set to compete in the B-SUV segment.
Toyota states that customers can expect this new electric crossover to deliver the quality, durability, and reliability that its customers have come to associate with the brand.
The Urban SUV Concept sports angular head lights now set to become a Toyota design touch. These sit on a compact body complete with high shoulders that we can't help noticing bear a striking resemblance to the Lexus LBX. Toyota states that this new vehicle will offer not only a high driving position, but also a flexible interior that can be adapted to prioritise passenger space or cargo space as required.
The production version of the Urban SUV Concept will also be offered with both front and all-wheel drive powertrains, and customers will be able to opt between two batteries with different capacities to suit their needs.
Toyota states it will reveal more of the production version of this Urban SUV Concept come 2024.
