Positioned lower than the Tiguan, the T-ROC follows a new design line and interior style, with the progressive design of the front section being particularly striking - including a front fascia adorned with LED headlights complementing two removable roof panels.
The two-door vehicle also combines the talents of an all-wheel drive SUV with the airiness of a convertible due to the removable roof. Front and rear cameras, which are backed up in the dark by LED headlights to extend the driver's field of vision.
As reported earlier, the T-ROC is powered by a 2.0-litre turbodiesel power unit, that is rated at 181bhp and 380Nm of torque and sips as little as 4.9L/100km.
The T-ROC is equipped with three different driving modes, 4Motion all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed transmission unit among other specifications, depending on the mode selected. The vehicle body has been designed based on the Modular Transverse Matrix (MQB) and - thanks in part to lightweight construction - the T-ROC SUV tips the scales at just over 1.4 tonnes.
