Volkswagen Singapore has revealed its latest contender in the four-door coupe segment - the all-new CC to a crowd of media. Since its debut four years ago, Volkswagen has sold more than 320 thousand units of the Passat CC worldwide.

As one of the fore-runners in engine efficiency R&D, it is no surprise that the car surpasses its rivals in terms of power density and emission standards - the basic 1.8-litre in-line four pumps out 160hp and 250Nm of torque, more notably with CO2 emission of only 167g/km. On top of the 1.8 TSI, two more variants will be brought onto our local shores - a sportier 2.0TSI with 210hp, and a range-topping 3.6 V6 with 300hp on tap, both available with a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox (1.8 TSI receives a 7-speed DSG). All three CC variants meet the Euro 5 emission standards.

Dr Kerschbaumer also affirms the completion of a second Volkswagen Centre in Singapore, scheduled for opening on the 11th April. Situated in Macpherson, the new centre will see to a better outreach and service for local customers.
