Volkswagen Singapore launches new generation Caddy and Transporter

Volkswagen Singapore has launched its latest generation of light commercial vehicles, the Caddy and Transporter, which offer improved economy and versatility.

The Transporter boasts an impressive load bed area of 4.3m² and a total cargo volume of 5,800 litres

Available in two different wheelbase lengths per model, the Volkswagen Caddy and Transporter are built with the Volkswagen trademark of precise engineering and class-leading technology. Spacious dimensions and an ergonomic layout increase the ease-of-use with passenger car-like handling, making both the Caddy and Transporter highly versatile vehicles.

They feature the latest generation 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engines, which comply with the Euro 6 emissions standards. A separate tank of AdBlue is installed directly next to the engine, and the liquid urea solution is injected into the exhaust gas flow during the selective catalytic reduction process. This reduces the amount of nitrogen oxides by 75 percent under all of the vehicles' operating states.

All Volkswagen light commercial vehicle models come with a five-year or 200,000km warranty (whichever comes first), as well as free servicing for up to five years or 100,000km (whichever comes first). Topping up of AdBlue is free during the warranty period of five years or at a maximum mileage of 200,000km (whichever comes first), as long as the vehicle is serviced at any Volkswagen service centre.

In addition to low fuel consumption, all models require a visit to the workshop for servicing only every 20,000km. This reduces the total cost of ownership by cutting down on replacement vehicles and loss-of-use costs. The Caddy and Transporter are now available for sale at all Volkswagen showrooms. Prices start at $97,500 for the Caddy and $111,800 for the Transporter, inclusive of COE.
