Volkswagen to launch 2 new Golf GTI special editions at the WÖrthersee GTI

The Wörthersee GTI meet is an annual gathering in Austria for fans of the Golf GTI, and Volkswagen is set to unveil two new special editions of its latest Golf GTI at the event, which will be held next week.

The first is called the Golf GTI Excessive, which is a concept that features an aggressive body kit with modified fascias, a front splitter, revised side skirts, and a rear diffuser and black 19-inch alloy wheel with semi-slick tires. The Golf GTI Excessive also comes equipped with wider tracks, revised springs, sportier dampers, a high performance braking system, and a new exhaust system for improved performance.

The other special edition to be launched at the Wörthersee GTI meet is the Golf GTI Adidas Edition, which will come with bi-xenon headlights, LED taillights, unique 18-inch alloy wheels, sport seats and Adidas-inspired trim. The GTI Adidas Edition is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the standard Golf GTI that produces 207bhp and 280Nm of torque, and can go from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 240km/h. Only 4410 units of the Golf GTI Adidas Edition will be made.
