Volkswagen unveils the CrossPolo

The CrossPolo is the latest addition to the Polo range, and has a raised height as well as numerous additional styling bits to give it a rugged look. Volkswagen decided to launch a new version of the CrossPolo due to the popularity of the previous model.

Among the new rugged styling additions include the contrasting anthracite-coloured front bumper with integrated fog lights, the large air intake in the middle, an upper chrome grille, black skirts and plastic casings. The CrossPolo also wears new five-spoke 17-inch wheels with 214/40 tyres, and is available in six different body colours, which match with the silver side mirrors and silver anodized roof railing.

The interior of the CrossPolo features four different fabric trim choices and a whole host of customisable options. These include a leather-covered steering wheel, aluminium pedals, electric windows all round and lit makeup mirrors in the sun visors.

The CrossPolo will be available with six different engine options, including a 1.2-litre TSI petrol engine with 105bhp, and a 1.4-litre unit producing 85bhp. Diesel engines include a 1.6-litre TDI that can be had with 90bhp and 105bhp. Volkswagen's DSG transmission can also be specified.
