XPENG AEROHT, Asia's largest flying car company, has marked a major milestone in its overseas expansion with its historic Middle East public manned flight of its Land Aircraft Carrier (LAC) - the world's first modular flying car - in Dubai. Conducted entirely in manned mode, the flight demonstrated the LAC’s controllability and reliability in real-world conditions.
It also achieved record-breaking orders for 600 flying cars across the region, bringing its total global orders to over 7,000. The Middle East will also serve as the company's first international market, with consumer sales expected as early as 2027.
The LAC is now in its mass production stage, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in 2026. This milestone is supported by the completion of the first-ever intelligent factory for mass-produced flying cars in Guangzhou, China. This facility, capable of producing up to 10,000 units annually, blends aviation-grade standards with automotive-scale efficiency, enabling XPENG AEROHT to scale production for global demand.
Building on this momentum, XPENG AEROHT unveiled that it has rebranded as Aridge, with this nomenclature derived from "Air" and "Bridge". The company is also developing the A868, a high-speed, long-range flying car that integrates full tiltrotor technology and a hybrid electrical powertrain system. The A868 is said to feature a range of over 500km, a top speed exceeding 360km/h, and a six-seat cabin.
