XPENG G6 nets five star safety rating at Euro NCAP

The XPENG G6 has net a five star safety rating at the latest round of safety tests conducted by Euro NCAP.

XPENG attributes the safety rating of the car to both its smart engineering and manufacturing, including its chassis, which offers a torsional stiffness of up to 41,600Nm/deg, manufactured with what is said to be China's first front and rear integrated die-casting technology.

The car's battery, meanwhile, is protected within a three-layer anti-collision structure, and the car is additionally equipped with six airbags, said to offer all occupants from front to rear comprehensive coverage.

Also aiding here is the G6's comprehensive XPilot safety features, which include forward, side and rear collision prevention measures which work to manage crash forces effectively, reduce impact acceleration, and minimise the risk of injuries to occupants.
