As it turns out, Zeekr has even grander visions of luxury and power than what we've seen on the formidable Zeekr 7X, or the palatial Zeekr 009.
The Chinese luxury brand has pulled the covers off the Zeekr 9X at the 2026 Singapore Motor Show offering an early showcase of its take on what a flagship, all-guns-blazing luxury SUV could look like. (The 9X was officially launched globally in October last year.)
At over 5.2 metres long, over 1.8 metres tall, and over two metres wide, the 9X already has the sort of gargantuan dimensions that lend credence to both its flagship status and its ambitions of making more traditional players in the luxury space break out in cold sweat.
But it's crucially also its styling that gives it presence, with its large, slatted chrome grille calling to mind the Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Elsewhere on the exterior, the 9X is all perpendicular brawn, with its C-shaped day time running lights, and two horizontal tail light bars connecting with each other at the edges of the tailgate. When we first saw the car at Auto Shanghai 2025, we learned that there are apparently more than 42,000 tiny laser-engraved, diamond-cut lamps dotted all over the lights up front and at the rear.
Unsurprisingly, the 9X also promises space and luxury in equally generous measure onboard. International sites indicate that its wheelbase stretches out at 3,169mm wheelbase; it's also offered in China now as a three-row six-seater with a 2+2+2 layout. Additionally, Zeekr Singapore shares that the cabin offers "Cloud Lounge seats designed for modern luxury".
The 9X is also built atop of the SEA-S platform, giving it a 900V high-voltage architecture that not only supports ultra-fast charging, but is also said to deliver superb on-road performance for the hunkering SUV.
While no powertrain details were revealed at the Show, it's worth pointing out that the 9X initially made waves during its China debut as the first plug-in hybrid model to be released by Zeekr. In combination with a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine, both dual-motor and tri-motor configurations are available in the model's home market, with the latter boasting an incredible combined output of 1,030kW (1,381bhp), and a century sprint of a mere 3.1 seconds.
You'll have to be patient, though, if you're already eager to get your hands on the 9X. The SUV is currently still offered in left-hand drive, and isn't on sale at Zeekr's both at the 2026 Singapore Motor Show. Nonetheless, Sgcarmart understands that plans are already in the pipeline to bring the car into Singapore by 2027, with official specifications for local units to be revealed only when the time comes.
Following its unveiling at the Show, Sgcarmart also understands that the special showcase unit of the 9X will move to Zeekr Centre Singapore (located at 9 Leng Kee Road), where it will remain for approximately one week for visitors to get up close with.
Speaking on the news, Mr Eddy Lu, General Manager of Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia & Singapore), shared: "While this left-hand-drive model is showcased exclusively in Singapore as a preview, it offers a clear insight into the most advanced technologies and design capabilities Zeekr has to offer. The 9X reflects our continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of premium electric mobility and reinforces Zeekr's position at the forefront of innovation in the high-end EV segment."
