The Lexus RC F is a muscular, high-performance coupe that despite being fairly new to the segment, is a heavyweight in its own right. It possesses antagonisingly good looks that you can never tire of, while the interior is plush, comfortable and flawlessly impressive. Under the bonnet, the 5.0-litre V8 scoffs at the trend towards turbocharged engines, and rewards you the harder you push it, together with a ear-watering noise and exhaust note that is hard to match. Despite its high-performance abilities, the RC F also impresses with its ability to be a supple and sensible car when you need it to be.

Despite being fairly new to the segment, the Lexus RC F is an aggressive, muscular and exciting premium performance coupe that holds its own in a segment typically dominated by the Germans.
One of the most striking aspects of the RC F is its antagonising good looks, with a larger-than-life grille, bulged bonnet, flared fenders and gigantic air intakes. The RC F is a sight to behold on the roads, no matter which angle you are looking at it from. Despite its flashy and monstrous appearance, the flowing lines provide the car with a cohesive appearance.
The interior of the RC F is swathed in typical Lexus richness, which is somewhat surprising considering the 'hardcore' nature of cars of its ilk. Everything is expensive to the touch, offering plush and luxurious comfort. Occasional carbon fire touches, blue stitching on the steering wheel and sports dials on the instrument cluster (with the car in Sport mode) hint at sports car that lies within.
The heart of the RC F is a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, with 470bhp and 530Nm of torque that will surely make your sense tingle. With the much improved gearbox, the car is is hair-raisingly aggressive when you want it to be, with a ear-watering noise that gets better the harder you push it. But what perhaps sets it apart from the field is its ability to tone down to offer incredible civility. The suspension offers a really comfortable ride, perfect for the daily commute.
It is the Jekyll and Hyde character of the RC F that set it apart. It is supple, comfortable and luxurious enough to be a perfect car for daily use, and on our permanently crowded roads, there is little place for harsh suspension and bare interiors. But when the roads clear up and you decide to stretch the car's legs a little, it will roar and excite you to no end.
