We wanted more space for the family and knew that our next car will have to be a 3 row SUV. Started looking at the various models and finally narrowed down to 3 models. Went to the show rooms, test drove the 3 models and it was a clear cut choice - Kia Sorento. This car ticked all the boxes in our checklist - design, space, ease of getting in and out of the third row, 2nd and 3rd row air vents, large panoramic roof, features, and of course how it drives. Kia has come a long way comparing when they first came into our local market.Having driven the car for 3 weeks now, the family is still excited getting into the car. Power is readily available when I need it, taking into consideration it's only a 1.6l turbo hybrid powering nearly 2 tons. Only thing it's missing is an all wheel drive feature.Special thanks to Dom Wong who is knowledgeable, patient with all our queries and of course, with the deal he gave us for the car. The test drive was a very different experience compared to the other Sales Advisors from the other brands. As my wife puts it 'it was a very cinematic' feel.

Test drove the Sorento as a potential for a 7 seater for a growing 3 generation family. Comfortable, well appointed, rugged but in a refined way. Some engine noise heard as compared to the silence of EV's but well muted. Comfortable ride but the 17 inch rims look rather out of place with thick tyres. I think it will look better with 19 inch rims but fuel economy will be affected. Last 2 rear seats are fairly easily accessed and are ok for even adults. Boot space limited by third row seats though. Its a car you can live with for a long time if only we didn't have to worry about the 10 years COE lifespan.
