SUV of the Year
Mazda CX-5 Mild Hybrid
The Mazda CX-5 is well suited for those with an eye for design. It comes with a sleek exterior, while its cabin (a mix of premium looking leather and high gloss plastics) is just outright elegant. And all this is matched with a quiet engine and smooth operating gearbox. Throw in the fact that there’s good space for all passengers here and it’s not hard to see why this CX-5 is a serious contender for the category.

Test drive the car and made decision to purchase it! Interior design and material feel so luxury! Handling is very good, especially when taking cornering the car is very stable, becos of Mazda GVC technology!Engine is powerful enough for SG road, if there is 2.5 L model would be more better! The 6AT transmission is so smart and quickly, it’S really much better than CVT!

I recently upgraded from a Mazda 3 HB to the Mazda CX-5 Mild Hybrid, needing the extra space for a new family member. I was initially torn between the Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester, and Mazda CX-5. The Toyota was my top pick, but its higher price made me reconsider. The Subaru was the most affordable, but I wasn't entirely convinced by its design. In the end, the Mazda CX-5 won my heart, thanks to the excellent trade-in value I received for my Mazda 3 HB from TEK. Overall why the Mazda CX-5? - The comfort, reliability (Made In Japan) fuel efficiency (Mild Hybrid) and the overall design (latest 2024 facelift), both the interior (10.1'' screen with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto / plush upholstery) and exterior (fierce sporty look) made it the perfect choice.

Verdict
Shopping for a family SUV? There's plenty of options available to you here in Singapore, but the Mazda CX-5 has emerged as the top pick this year.

It's not hard to pinpoint the strengths of the CX-5. It comes with a sleek exterior design that includes a strong front grille, elegant lights at the front and back, as well as some shapely sheet metal.

And the strong emphasis on design continues in its cabin, which comes endowed with a 10.25-inch infotainment system paired with a gorgeous driver's instrument cluster. The fact that this cabin offers acres of leather, contrasted by silver accents and red stitching further elevates the overall perceived quality here.

But the car also has plenty to offer when you take the wheel. Its 2.0-litre engine is quiet and comes paired with a six-speed transmission that delivers silky smooth gearshifts.

For offering families here an elegant and stylish option paired with all the space and practicality expected of an SUV, the Mazda CX-5 takes our award for the SUV category this year.
