MPV of the Year
Toyota Noah Hybrid
The Toyota Noah Hybrid boasts comfortable seating for seven, without reaching the size of the Vellfire or Alphard. It's little wonder that the model has seen such popularity here.

For the first time, the Noah is offered by Borneo Motors, and it is very well-appointed. Power wise, you'll get an electric motor-supported 1.8-litre engine that puts out 138bhp - what's most impressive is the 22.7km/L fuel economy despite the size of the car.

If you are looking for a reliable car that last a long long time, Toyota will be the first name on the list. Honda has a great engine, Nissan has modern look, but Toyota gives you an overall package. An average value in every areas, such as the car appeal, engine performance, reliability, space availability, ease of folding chairs, access to the controls. A car that will go on and on, maybe I can renew the COE, but depends on government policy. My boys are happy with space availability, as I have upgraded from a sedan. The middle and back row space availability is great!Fuel economy is also good. But the number will be clearer after 5,000 km servicing.

Ive been driving since 2005, and every car Ive owned has been a Toyota. I started with the Vios, then an upgraded Vios, followed by the Altis, Wish, Prius Plus, and now the Noah Hybrid Elegance.I began looking for a mid?size MPV since beginning of the year to replace my previous car, as my family has grown and the kids are no longer small. I considered the BYD M6, Nissan Serena e?POWER, and Toyota Noah Elegance. In the end, we chose the Noah for its reliability, affordability, dependability, fuel efficiency, and especially its comfortable and easily configurable third?row seats.Ive owned it for about 20 days now. I drive roughly 55 km daily and have been achieving around 2122 km/l, which pleasantly surprised meits even more fuel?efficient than my previous Prius Plus, and the car isnt fully run?in yet. Its start?stop performance on short trips is also better than the Prius Plus.Of course, the pickup is slower compared to the Serena and Stepwgn, but its still acceptable to me.Im very satisfied with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 and the 360 PVM. Although some people say the resolution isnt great, I find it perfectly fine. I do miss the Serenas dual tailgate and intelligent rear?view mirror, but Ive learned to live without them.Overall, Im very happy with our new car.
Verdict
The Toyota Noah Hybrid is one of the more popular choice of cars on our roads, and it isn't difficult to understand why. This boxy MPV does everything you expects it to - large and spacious, it will fit seven in comfort, and being a Toyota hybrid, fuel economy is pretty much guaranteed as well.

In fact, the Noah Hybrid is so popular that the previously Parallel Import-only model is now available for the first time from Toyota's official distributor, Borneo Motors. So, what makes the Noah Hybrid so in demand?

Well, this is a car that pairs impressive fuel efficiency with a cabin that will accommodate all the needs of your family with ease. Being one size smaller than large MPVs such as the Vellfire or Alphard, the Noah manages to be manoeuvrable even in tighter spaces, which is perfect for city driving here.

Equipped with powered rear sliding doors, getting into the second or third row seats is a non-affair. Second and third row passengers also get a separate air-conditioning control panel, allowing for increased comfort within. This truly is a car that is designed for comfortable commute even at full capacity.

Driving the Noah is an enjoyable experience as well - with great ergonomics and excellent visibility thanks to its massive window, the car is a peach to drive. While 138bhp from the 1.8-litre hybrid drivetrain isn't plenty, the car gets up to speed with relative ease. And the best part of all, it manages it with an amazing fuel economy of 22.7km/L.

If you foresee yourself ferrying lots of passengers, and partaking in long journeys, the efficiency and utility of the Toyota Noah Hybrid will definitely come in handy.
