Large MPV of the Year
Kia Carnival Hybrid
The Kia Carnival Hybrid receives a facelift that includes a massive 'Tiger Nose' grill, framed by single LED strips that trace the squarish bonnet and hug its angular-shaped main beams. Its new look fitting well with the forward-looking EV9 and Sorento Hybrid.

But the biggest update is found underneath the bonnet - now jointly powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine and an electric motor, it puts out more power than its predecessor's 2.2-litre diesel engine.

The Kia Carnival Hybrid has been great so far. It is smooth and quiet to drive. The cabin is spacious and comfortable, which makes a big difference on longer trips. The interior software and hardware functionalities are pretty user friendly too. Overall, it's a really practical and enjoyable ride.Of course, Dom Wong provided an outstanding experience from start to finish. He was patient and attentive, taking the time to address all my questions with care and clarity. His prompt responses and consistent follow-ups made the entire process smooth and stress-free. I would highly recommend Dom to anyone looking for a professional and reliable sales consultant.

Today is the 3rd day of owning this ride. I must say it's a very good mpv for family usage. Kudos to sales advisor (Dom Wong) from KIA as he have been very patient in answering our queries from the day we step into the showroom till the day of car collection. Do look for him if you are interested in buying KIA cars! What I like :- Spacious- digital cluster with big infotainment screen- ventilated seats for first and 2nd row- huge boot space to store things- Bose sound system - quiet ride- 2 panoramic roofs (my kids loved them)- 1.78m tall means able to enter most carparksCons :- huge car so need a bit of time to find suitable parking lot (360 camera for the car helps on this)- digital rear mirror not included (will be helpful as with full passenger load it's a bit hard to view the back)- Kia connect app not yet available for Singapore market (hope this feature will be enabled soon)Overall, I must reiterate again that this is really an awesome car to own! 😊

We are absolutely loving our new Kia Carnivalit's spacious, stylish, and perfect for our family. Despite being a seemingly huge car, it gives us so much confidence on the road. The turning radius is awesome, and the combination of the sensors and the fly-by-wire steering makes drivingand especially parkingsurprisingly easy. The highlight of the experience, however, was working with our salesman, Dom Wong. Dom was incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process. We had a lot of questions and requests, and he took the time to address every single one without making us feel rushed. He was also super responsive whenever we reached out. If you are looking for a Kia, I highly recommend asking for Dom!

Was looking around for an MPV with sliding doors due to having toddlers. Recently many chinese models appear in the market but they are not height friendly (1.9mtr onwards) and too techy (massage seats etc). Previously driving a mid-sized MPV with 2-3-2 configuration, saw Carnival 7-Seater with a 2-2-3 and was glued to it since the 2.2 Diesel model. Went ahead to purchase 1.6 Hybrid as i have driven diesel passenger cars before and the road tax is a deal breaker. Car is fantastic, owned for 2months and just pumped twice included that one time during car collection.Took a week or so to get used to the hybrid regen pattern and mileage can be improved. Personally achieve 890km on 1st tank and 920km on 2nd tank. Daily driving pattern is 90% City, total 10km/day with 1hr on the road.C&C was able to provide a very good deal and Zed was proactive in pushing for buyer's interest.
Verdict
Not so long ago, diesel power offered an important edge - substantially lower cost of fuel, incredibly long range, and a healthy amount of low-end torque. But in today's context, you can net all these benefits without experiencing the potential downsides of a diesel car. All you need is hybrid technology, and that is what Kia has done.

The new Kia Carnival Hybrid trades in its 2.2-litre diesel engine for a cleaner and greener 1.6-litre turbocharged engine that is assisted by an electric motor. And it even picked up more power along the way!

With its massive new 'Tiger Nose' grille, framed by LED strips that traces the squarish bonnet and hugging its angular-shaped main beams, the handsome new Carnival Hybrid is easy to identify. Afterall, its design language has now been updated to match the futuristic looking siblings in Kia's stable, such as the EV9 and Sorento Hybrid.

Inside, the Carnival Hybrid has received a modern refresh, now featuring a single panel that houses twin 12.3-inch displays on the dashboard, replacing the analogue gauges that the pre-facelift had. It also comes with Kia's intuitive switchable LCD control panel that alternates between climate control and media control functions at the touch of a button.

With the seven-seater variant, you'll get cushy captain chairs on the second row, while still having sufficient aisle space between to get to the useable last row with plentiful legroom - even for adult occupants. With its 627-litre boot, the Kia Carnival is perfect for a family of seven and two to three full-sized luggage.

If space and practicality are what you are searching for, the Kia Carnival Hybrid will do it all for you, all while offering a sumptuous level of equipment and excellent build quality too.
