Called Express Motion the previous day to enquire on the installation of meter gauge and Stock availability and was told by them that the stock was available and had made a appointment for the installation upon arriving they quoted me a different price and before i agreed on the price the lady boss instructed her staff to cut my vehicle water pipe after waiting for an hour they told me that they did not had the spare parts and i needed to wait for 5 hours for the parts to arrived and and i wasted half a day just because of their mistake . An hour can became a 6 hours job if u visit this store.But overall their workmanship is Ok Post Management Response

I went to Express Motion (since they are nearby) to check on installing a in-car camera and at the same time change my car battery. While speaking to the staff on the in-car camera, the lady boss (Mary) asked me to buy the most expensive in-car camera and was adamant about needing to buy the power cut-off system as well. Knowing that the camera will drain my car battery without the power cut-off system, I've accepted the proposal. The workers installed the camera and changed the battery. All was good but not for long.

In Sep 2015, my car not being able to start. Since I was nearby, I've asked Express Motion came check the battery since they were the one who installed it (btw, the battery was only a few months old). The worker was puzzled that the battery discharged itself. So, he fixed it and the lady boss charged me $15 for the service.

Just late last night (2 months after the 1st incident), my car could not start again. I was in the city and was trying to get home. By then Express Motion has already closed for the day. I have no choice by to call for help. Eric from Dial a Battery came to the rescue. He tested the battery and it was at 11.6. The battery has once again discharged itself. He has advise that the problem is from camera. Since, the battery was barely 6 months old, it is under warranty and I wanted Express Motion to be responsible for it. So, I've asked Eric to jumpstart my car and charged the battery so that I may get home.

This morning, I went back to Express Motion to explain what happened. Mary from Express Motion was adamant again that there was nothing wrong with the car battery and the camera. Her staff on the side did express that it is due to the camera and a bigger capacity battery may help but she refuses help fix it after 30 mins of arguing with me.

I am sharing this experience so that others may be wary of what they might get themselves into when trying to do business with Express Motion.. Post Management Response

Bad Experiences:- 3 to 4 years ago went down to let Quote/rectify Audio System got 'hissing' (aeroplane) sound... after the 'tao chew' see see look look, get quoted $xyz, feel ex. then drove off with thank you. Managed to find one, only $xyz - $50... Aug tis year, went down to deinstall all amps, hu, speakers, etc...same 'tao chew' see my system n quoted $ab, feel comfortable tis time and give 'green' light for them to start wk. In the Mid of the deinstallation, lady boss rush her workers who were doing my ride, cos few cars came in for installation. after everything was deinstalled, me went to the counter to make payment...lady boss asked 'tao chew' how much huh...replied $ab+$20, cliaming tat a lot of stuffs need to remove...in the end, agreed to pay only $ab+$10, me told her off by 'take it or leave it'...both thumbs down for them! years ago, the service is good and the price is attractive. however, over the years, more customers visiting them and so.. yeah. best is to visit them during non-peak hours so that they can do a better job. :-) Post Management Response

I had been frequenting Express Motion for minor touch ups as the previous owner of my car had the car's ICE done up there. I trusted them as they are familiar with the car's wiring. I had gone there to purchase and install a head unit which had malfunctioned. After installing the HU, I was told that my sub woofer was not working. I didn't realise I had that problem before as I was replacing my HU because a CD got jammed up and they said it had to be changed. I changed the sub woofer too and ended up spending more than double the amount I had budgeted for a HU. Few days later, the new sub woofer made a strange noise. Fair enough, they exchanged my sub woofer for me for no charge but this time they told me that my amps were malfunctioning. I was told to change my amp. Not to mention that the system installed would often cause my car battery to drain out, something that was never rectified. One problem led to another and I had no time to keep patronising them so in the end, I told them to disconnect the system first so that I could drive with a peace of mind. No ICE for now. Their negliance in connecting the wires gives me problems. I had to do it myself by pulling off my own dashboard! Post Management Response

Rumours will be rumours. Attitude wise I'm not sure. But I'm pretty sure if one has researched market prices, they will know express motion has slightly lower prices compared to other big accessory shops. I think you are referring to Mary's no bargaining attitude. If you are a newbie to the shop you had probably tried to bargain and got turned down and probably sore about it. This is due to the reason I stated above. They are CHEAPER, hence no bargaining. However, I know for a fact that their workmanship and after sales is good. Their range of products is small but ICE customizations are superb. Their Bodykits are EXPENSIVE because they are just installers and have to buy and spray with other people. However overall I think their prices are reasonable. And they are not very pushy on their products. Personally, I'd rather get a fair price than an absurdly high one which I have to bargain and end up still with a high price. Don't you? Post Management Response

Most of the staff there are good except Boss Mary attitude is bad. Sales quote most of the time are on high side. Service from them is poor too. Alot of bad rumour from them too. Post Management Response
