Was at Bukit Merah on Saturday morning and decided to send the car for servicing.
Found out TJ Car Care from AA approved website and decided to try them out.
Mechanic recommended to go for $185 package which include 4L oil, oil filter and spark plugs.
Received a call from them informing that my gasket rocker cover is cracked and need to be changed soon as the engine oil will be leaking.
Quoted me $180 and being paranoid about engine issues, decided to go ahead first because didn't have time to check pricing elsewhere.
In the end, they deducted $8 (2 x spark plugs) off the servicing package (because mine is still good) and I paid $357 in total.
Called up Min Ghee on Monday and was quoted the same part @ $23.00 only !
That means TJ's labour is $143.00 !
Found out another place in Yishun Industrial and was quoted the same thing plus labour @ $100.00 only.
So lesson learnt is ALWAYS to check pricing elsewhere next time as it could easily save some money.

I have been trying to fix an engine issue with my 7 year old Audi and my regular workshop wasn't able to after 2 visits and after spending $1,200. (Servotronic @ Sin Ming - don't don't ever go there - they are a bunch of rip-offs that do not solve your car problems!!) Out of desperation, i looked online for AA approved mechanics and stumbled upon T J Car Care @ Bukit Merah. When i reached the workshop, i was pleasantly greeted by Dennis (unlike those surly car mechanics) and in 10 mins he was able to diagnose the problem with my car and was able to quote me the charges then. It was a very reasonable price! (Unlike Servotronic who would only tell me the charges over the phone after more than half a day and i would have no idea what they have done to the car!) T J Car Care didn't just fix my car, they offered really awesome services which i didnt expect! - took the time out to shuttle me to the nearest MRT - recommended a wonderful car dealer that assisted me to sell off my car at the best market rate. (I know cos i proceeded to call more than 10 other car dealers) - cleaned the interior of my car + fixed the car roof + my glove compartment without much. I highly recommend T J Car Care and there's nothing like experiencing a job well-done on your vehicle with the friendliest (and most honest) car mechanics.

Highly recommend for servicing of your vehicle. Mr Richard Tan, the workshop manager there is friendly and helpful all the time, always willing to go the extra mile for the customer. Price is reasonable. I have been following them for the last 10 years. A must go workshop.
