This is my first time having to go through difficulty to get my deposit of $200 back. Rented a pick up for 1 day from them (CK VEhicle Rental Pte Ltd) on Friday 17 Aug 2012 at 1900 hrs. Paid $75 rent and $200 deposit. Was told to return on Saturday 18 August at 1800 Hours. Called them on the return day and told him (same man who pick up phone always) that we will be need to extend the time for another 2 hours. He acknowledged and asked to return and leave the key at the letter box. Did so as told and returned the pick-up at 2030 hrs. Called them after the weekend (today) to get the $200 deposit back but was told we will be charged over the weekend so $200 deposit will be forfeited. This is due to the reason that we handover late. Told him that he has acknowledged the other day and it was fair if he is going to charge us for the 2 hrs extra time we requested than charging us over the weekend on what we did not use but he said rudely that he is still not returning back the deposit as he did not accept any reason. Is reporting this matter to CASE now and please beware of this rental company who is always there to make extra money through dishonest means.

Absolutely terrible! I contacted them over the phone to rent a small lorry so i could move house and they simply advised me to contact someone else. After i specified it was for private use and that i was Singapore PR with many years driving experience, they still came up with bizzare comments such as "you can only rent if you have a worker permit". But how can a worker be allowed to rent a small lorry and a PR cannot? I hope my non-experience with this company will save others from possibly much more unpleasant stories. One should simply question how a company that refuses respectable business can be expected to provide customer service and follow up with its clients. I quickly contacted another rental services who followed up efficiently and courteously with my request. CK Vehicle Rental gave me my worst experience as a customer and they managed it in less than 3 minutes over the phone! Truly Amazing
