I was charged $265 for opening engine and changed NOTHING. I went to this workshop because my engine check light is on. Mr Ali used the OBD scanner and said that cam gears assembly might be the reason and need to open the engine to check. Mr Ali brought my car and me out for a round of test drive. During the test, he kept telling me stories when he advised his ex customers to do some repairs but they didn't wanted to, then months later their car broke and came back to him. After the test drive, I agreed to open the engine for a check without confirming the price list. I rejected his quote of $8,000 to do entire engine overhaul, then he quote me $2,800 to change the timing chain assembly which I also rejected. Lastly he tried to offer $480 to do inlet manifold cleaning. I felt that he just try to offer anything but not trying to solve the engine check light issue as he just offer services after services. I told him to fix back the engine and he charged me $265 for labour of opening and closing the engine without changing anything.

Mr Ali & His son were very professional, experienced people. I brought in my Mercedes car for servicing and I know there was a brake pad & Rota that need change.
Mr Ali taught me the difference by showing me the parts of my car that needs attention and the new parts. He took the trouble to show me the parts that I need to change and explained why so for my consideration. There was no hard selling rather honest opinion. Only then I realized that I need to change those parts. All parts were original as he replaced it. They showed me the box and the serial numbers just to ensure that I am convinced. No mechanic had shown me a faulty or wore-out parts at all. They have taken great care of my car as I am using them for the first time. I got to know them as I google for a reliable mechanic. Since this is my first 2nd hand continental car, I am already pleased with the service and the charges too. I will recommend Kompressor to my colleagues, friends and relatives if they are looking for a reliable workshop. Kudos!

My Merc had an ABS error code with many other fault codes. I went to 2 well-known workshops and after checking they deem that ABS has failed and requires a replacement. I was also quoted $1200 for the replacement plus labor. I searched for other workshops that specializes in Merc and found Kompressor Automotive workshop.

I went to the workshop and was welcomed by Ali who hosted me very well and proceeded with the checks immediately. He told me that based on his experience, he is very certain that it was only the ABS sensor that needs to be replaced. No other further works needed. He hoisted my car up and double-check again. Then he confirmed it's the ABS sensor replacement needed. He changed both of them within an hour and took the effort to explain on how he is changing the parts and what exactly is spoilt. He was being very transparent with his cost and labor. The entire job inclusive of 2 ABS sensor cost me $300 plus. It has been 2 months and my car works fine. I am very happy with the service.

Boss Ali is an amazing guru and nice guy. Had a boost pressure sensor fault and 2 other workshop recommended sensor change or ECU change.

Boss Ali helped and look deeper into the bay. Within 15min, he found the problem was just a hose that was broken and leaking. From then on I go him for all other issues.

His charges are definitely reasonable and he is honest about what needs to be change. Go to this workshop if you want a straight forward and accurate diagnosis on your issue.

I feel very worth it to pay for his experience and it saves me time and headache down the road.

Was referred to Mr Ali and was told this is the guy for Conti cars. Was skeptical initially but was totally amazed and impressed right after we went for test drive till end of job. Ali suggested to go for test drive cos I can't really describe the mur-mur sound I hear. In no more than 5 mins, he could tell that it was the wheel bearing and NOT the tyre noise that was the problem. No trying to push to do more or change unnecessary stuffs. He even commented that my brake pad could still last me some miles and should be in time for change when the next servicing is due. Upon collecting the next day, my ride was like given a new life!! The quiet cabin was back and the ride was smoother too! Ali also explained about the kind of engine oil that's suitable. Apparently, Kompressor uses the same oil as the Authroised Dealers! The Boss is friendly and very experience with Mercedes and BMW. I am currently driving a Mitsubishi Colt and have been doing servicing with him for the past 4 years. So far my car is maintaining at a very shape even it is already a 7 years old car. All thanks to Ali.
