Had a recent oil change using the newly launched Liqui Moly 5W-30 Molygen New Generation synthetic engine oil.

Immediate response is a quietier engine, more willing to rev. Engine never felt so refined after previous oil changes using other established brands. Car is 100% Stock.

Done 1,200km, and noticed 3 key improvement:

1) Increased Power & Responsiveness
Engine is more willing to rev and feels more lean. With total of 4 pax in the car, managed to go up Mt Faber on the steep slope on 2nd gear instead of the usual 1st, and up the Benjamin Sheares bridge from Ophir Rd on 4th gear insead of 3rd.

2) Enhanced Refinement
Engine runs quietier, smoother and sounds more refined. Significant improvement on drivability. I exceeded 100km/h on several occasions on the highway without realising it. Previously, the engine would be roaring at speeds above 100km/h.

3) Improved Fuel Economy
First time during ownership of this car I made it back from KL to Singapore on half a tank of petrol, with lots of hard driving & Overtaking on the North South Highway. Fuel consumption driving on Singapore roads improved an average 5 to 7%, despite me revving harder.

In a nutshell, it’S like pumping 95RON petrol and enjoying the performance of V Power, with no compromise in fuel economy.

*Also noticed that Liqui Moly has higher specs than other established brands. Its flash point of 234 degree ceisius is higher than Shell Helix Ultra 5W-30 & 5W-40’S 215 degree celsius and Mobil 1 5W-30’S 230 degree celsius.
