I had chatted up a number of detailers including some of the bigger names out there who charge sky high prices for their ceramic coatings and have warranties as long as the length of my COE, however I always came out wondering what was the point of a warranty if I had to send the car back for regular maintenance of the coating (which all of them required me to do in one way or another). I then came across Alvin who had been highly recommended by a some people in the car club, and what I liked most was his no frills approach for his services. No crazy long warranties, no regular maintenance, no service packages - he just sold his different coatings by naming the pros and cons of each one, with a realistic durability timeline depending on how I look after the car. Alvin also provided me ad-hoc updates after I had left the car in his shop, highlighting paint imperfections which I had previously not spotted. Upon collection of the car, the imperfections were gone and the car was visibly glossier than when I left it there. After that, Alvin also ran through with me how to take care of the coat, and some of the products he recommended washing the car with. All in all, great service at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend Alvin's services to anyone looking to coat their car but doesn't want to deal with insane pricing and all sorts of packages thereafter to maintain it. - Jit Wei
