Sales staff was nice and professional. Initially gave them a 5 stars rating. After taking over the car, everything became a "Wear and tear" Item. I didnt ask for a discount, they proactively gave me a car cam which was nice. After taking over the car several issues were not resolved. 1) parking assist proximity sensor failed. This happened during test drive and results in a loud beeping sound. Sales staff disabled the parking assistance to hide this fact. When questioned she said it was hill start stop assist. Only realised the fault after taking over the car. 2) Engine bay oil leak covered by engine vanity cover. Vicom didn't catch this during inspection. Not sure why. 3) intake valve was fully clogged with carbon deposit. All in I spent over 2k to fix up the wear and tear I didn't make a fuss about the above but what really pissed me off was: 1) Sales provides 2 servicing coupons which specifies 4L 5W40 SHELL engine oil and filter. When I went to change oil, they filled it up with motormech 5w40. A chinese company which doesnt even have a website. They insisted I need to bring my own oil if that's what I want. Imagine buying a Lexus from them and realise they stuck a sticker over the Toyota and insists they're the same. VW TDI engines are extremely sensitive to engine oil which causes intake valve issues. 2) missing engine bay protector. A part that protects the undercarriage of the engine from debris. They insisted an entire missing part is wear and tear.

Amended - the initial problems with the first car were sorted out after a few days and the replacement met my expectations. Problem was dealt with so I have changed my review to reflect this. Good service when needed. Final review: replacement car was much better than the first one and they even gave a discount for the inconvenience of exchanging the car. Good customer service in the end made the rental worthwhile. - K B
