Rented a mazda 5 for a week from them. Opted for the cash deposit instead of paynow. Deposit collected back immediately after return inspection of car. Will rent again another time.

Avoid at all costs. Rented two vehicles from them and they were poorly maintained and dangerous to drive (one rolled back while driving up from a basement carpark). Hence, I needed to switch vehicle and the second one smelled very badly of dog. No choice as it was too much of a hassle for me to find another vehicle. What broke the straw for me is that they kept my security deposit without giving me a refund. It's been about 5 months now. I've filed a police report. I'll monitor this business and continue to alert the public.

I rented a car from Kars Leasing and had the same experience as jllau, who posted a review on 29 May 2024. I should have taken their advice and avoided renting from this company, even though they offered one of the cheapest prices on sgcarmart. It's a shame because, aside from the problems that I'll detail below, everything else was smooth, and they even allowed a second driver at no extra cost. It's rare to find a rental company that doesn't charge extra for driving into Malaysia (JB), but I wouldn't rent from them again due to the unpleasant experience with the deposit refund.

The car had several issues: a noisy wheel bearing that was almost deafening, steering that veered to the left, and wipers that were so ineffective they endangered my safety while driving in the rain.

Regarding the refund of the $100 deposit: I returned the car without any issues, on time, and with more fuel than it initially had. An employee at the workshop inspected the car and assured me that the deposit would be returned within three business days, or at the latest, by the fourth business day. However, after waiting a week, I still had not received the refund. Knowing that this wasn't an isolated case from the feedback I had read earlier, I anxiously followed up with them almost everyday for another week and finally got the refund. From the time of the return of the car to the date of receiving the refund was 14 days. Well, at least the boss was apologetic.

Initially seems like fuss free car rental but extremely slow to return deposit - yet to receive refund even though payment was made upfront and fuel tank returned more than required. Was told usually three days but it's been more than that and no updates.
