Honda has fully revealed the U.S.A market HR-V - it's more powerful and a touch more handsome than the one we get here. Bummer.

Can't get behind the quirky design of our Honda HR-V? Honda has now unveiled a new, U.S.A market HR-V for you to dream about.

The car adopts a sleek flowing form that's quite a bit more pleasing to behold than the one that graces the car we get here. Wide-set LED head lights and taillights are both employed to highlight the U.S.A market car's width and broad-shouldered stance.

The front grille mesh comes in either a honeycomb pattern or a horizontal-themed one, depending on trim chosen
And further aiding this sleek form on this Honda HR-V is the use of laser-brazing technology to eliminate the need for unsightly roof mouldings. And this Honda HR-V's windshield wipers also hide under the hood line when not in use.

The cabin of this HR-V meanwhile, adopt the same simplified direction that we first saw in the new Civic.

A low cowl, expansive greenhouse and outside mirrors that have been positioned away from the windshield pillars all aid visibility here. And this visibility is further enhanced by a wide instrument panel, which has been designed with minimum cutlines to reduce windshield reflections and visual distractions.

As on the Honda Civic, a striking metal honeycomb mesh accent stretches from door to door across the dash, creating a dramatic visual dividing line between the audio, information displays and the climate controls while also serving to conceal the air vents.

Premium materials are used throughout the interior, and Honda states that close attention was paid to the operation of all switchgear and controls, including the click and heft of knobs, stalks and switches.

This Honda HR-V also gets special Body Stabilising seats that are said to firmly hold the body, reducing fatigue and enhancing comfort on long drives.

Customers will get a 7.0-inch color LCD instrument display, paired with either a 7.0-inch or 9.0-inch infotainment colour touchscreen.

This U.S.A HR-V also get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine producing 156bhp and 187Nm of torque, which is quite a fair bit more than the 117bhp from a 1.5-litre unit we get here.

Do they have it better in the U.S.A?
