The Porsche 911 Carrera T has arrived to the 911 lineup, providing a lightweight, purist alternative to the standard 911.
For starters, the 911 Carrera T features a seven-speed manual gearbox. An eight-speed PDK is also available. The rear seats are also omitted. Suspension comes in the form of PASM sports suspension lowered by 10mm, and reduced insulation.
The manual gearbox-equipped 911 Carrera T comes enhanced with Porsche Torque Vectoring and a mechanical rear differential The 911 Carrera T takes utilises a biturbo engine with 379bhp and 450Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds, and on to a top speed of 291km/h.
The standard equipment for the Carrera S equipped with the manual transmission includes Porsche Torque Vectoring via a mechanical rear differential. The Sport Chrono package also comes as standard on the 911 Carrera T.
T-specific equipment features include 20 and 21-inch Titanium Grey Carrera S wheels at the front and back, respectively.
The 911 Carrera T will be the one and only entry-level 911 which still offers a manual gearbox The 911 Carrera T also comes standard with the GT sports steering wheel, a sports exhaust system and Sports Seats Plus, which are four-way electric seats.
Weighing in at just 1,470kg, the 911 Carrera T with a manual transmission is the lightest 911 with an entry level engine, coming in at 35kg lighter than the 911 Carrera with a standard eight-speed PDK.
