Peugeot also says that the 508 RXH is able to run on purely electric mode, emitting no emissions. The French carmaker has not released details about the car’s fuel consumption figures, only saying that it can return a fuel economy figure of 4.2 litres per 100km.
The 508 RXH features jacked-up suspension, and comes with distinct styling features such as a new front bumper with vertical LED lights on either side, chrome roof rails, bigger 18-inch wheels and wheel arch extensions and sill mouldings to give the car a rugged, off-roader look. Other standard features include an Open & Go system, electric front seats, heads-up display, panoramic glass roof, dark-tinted side windows, latest generation audio and satellite navigation unit.

The 508 RXH will be officially launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and comes with full-time all-wheel-drive, mated to Peugeot’s Hybrid4 diesel-electric hybrid drivetrain. The setup is the same as the 3008 Hybrid4, and consists of a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine that produces 163bhp that is sent to the front wheels, combined with an electric motor sending 37bhp to the rear wheels for a total output of 200bhp and 450Nm of torque.
