BBR releases superchargers for the ND generation Mazda MX-5

BBR has launched two all new supercharger tuning packages for the 2.0-litre Mazda MX-5 ND (2015 – 2019) models with up to 250bhp available.
The company uses the proven Rotrex supercharger, for both tuning packages, designed to be installed without intrusive mechanical alterations onto the 1,998cc SkyActiv-G engine while retaining the OEM-like appearance.
The Stage One and Stage Two kits help to boost power significantly for the MX-5, making 225bhp and 250bhp respectively The Stage One upgrade offers 225bhp of peak power, and has a highly useable 271Nm of torque between 3,750rpm and 5,750rpm, making it highly responsive and ideal for fast road use.
Stage Two concentrates on improving flow, not boost pressure. Utilising BBR's fully TIG welded stainless steel 2.5-inch bore high flow exhaust enables further power to be released without additional stress on the SkyActiv-G engine.
In addition, an optional Forge Motorsport intercooler upgrade is available to ensure that the inlet charge temperatures remain optimal even in the most demanding conditions. This releases up to 250bhp at peak, coupled with 298Nm of torque.
Despite bolting on a supercharger to the engine, the finished result is still rather indiscernable from the engine's stock appearance The DIY export version of the BBR Stage One supercharger conversion is available as hardware for $5,431, including comprehensive instructions and technical support, or including BBR software with either EcuTek ProEcu or ECU Connect programming cables stating at $6,263.
The export version of the Stage Two conversion is also available as hardware for $7,529, including comprehensive instructions and technical support, or including BBR software with either EcuTek ProEcu or ECU Connect programming cables stating at $8,359.
Both BBR supercharger conversion packages carry a 12-month warranty. To find out more about the supercharger kits, click here.
